Siete tedeschi?Tom: Sì, certo. Veniamo tutti da un piccolo posto chiamato Magdeburgo.
Eravate già amici prima di formare la band?Georg: Gustav e io ci siamo conosciuti alla scuola di musica e siamo diventati amici prima di incontrare Tom e Bill dopo una delle loro esibizioni. È stato sette anni fa e siamo diventati tutti molto amici.
Come siete stati scoperti?Bill: Mettevamo davvero tutta la nostra energia nella nostra musica. Abbiamo inviato dei nastri alle etichette discografiche e a MTV, abbiamo fatto un nostro CD e l’abbiamo venduto, ci siamo esibiti quanto più spesso era possibile. E poi finalmente, una sera, un produttore ci ha visti suonare in un club!
Cosa vi ha spinti a scegliere il nome ‘Tokio Hotel’?Tom: Avevamo un altro nome. Ma dopo aver incontrato il nostro produttore e iniziato a lavorare in studio, volevamo un altro nome – uno che si addicesse di più a noi. A tutti noi piacciono le grandi città, poi suona davvero bene. Inoltre eravamo in cerca di un simbolo che rappresentasse la nostra vita da musicisti – ci siamo figurati a stare la maggior parte del tempo negli hotel, cosa che si è avverata. Ecco qui: Tokio Hotel.
Quanti anni avete?Bill: Tom e io compieremo 19 anni a settembre, Gustav ne compierà 20 e Georg ne ha appena fatti 21 a Marzo.
Chi è il vostro idolo?Tom: Non abbiamo mai avuto idoli. Abbiamo sempre voluto fare roba nostra, creare il nostro stile. In più non siamo mai riusciti a metterci d’accordo in UNA band o artista, perché abbiamo gusti molto diversi in musica.
Avete degli animali domestici?Gustav: Abbiamo tutti un cane e un gatto.
Perché il vostro nuovo album si chiama Scream?Bill: Beh, è il titolo del nostro primo album tedesco. L’english version è un mix delle nostre canzoni preferite del primo e del secondo album. Scream è decisamente una di quelle. E amiamo il suo messaggio. La canzone parla di alzarsi per se stessi, dar voce alla propria mente ed esprimere se stessi nonostante ciò che le altre persone possano dire!
Amo la canzone Ready, Set, Go!. Ma di cosa parla davvero?Bill: Parla di rischiare per i propri sogni, di lasciarsi tutto indietro e iniziare qualcosa di nuovo. Parla di abbattere i muri e di non essere imprigionati dalla vita e dalle regole.
Preferite cantare e registrare le canzoni in inglese o in tedesco?Bill: Per ora le canzoni inglesi sono come quelle tedesche. Ma quando si tratta di scrivere, le scriverò sempre in tedesco e verranno tradotte in inglese in seguito. Il tedesco è la mia madrelingua e mi aiuta ad esprimere me stesso al meglio.
Com’è essere on the road 24h su 24?Tom: Lo amiamo. Ovviamente, non vedi amici e famiglia molto spesso, ma vedi tante cose. È über-fantastico e ciò che abbiamo sempre voluto.
Andate d’accordo o qualche volta litigate?Tom: Siamo amici, ma è ovvio che certe volte litighiamo. Persino io e Bill.
Georg (ridendo): Sì, e tu non vorresti essere coinvolto…
Avete sempre voluto essere delle rockstar?Bill: Ho sempre voluto essere un cantante e gli altri hanno sempre voluto fare i musicisti. Ecco perché abbiamo iniziato così presto.
Come vi fate dei capelli tanto cool? 
Bill: Con un sacco di lacca
Hey Bill! Come va la gola? Hai qualche bella cicatrice?Bill: Sto benissimo, grazie! Niente cicatrici! Mi sento benissimo e non vedo l’ora di tornare sul palco!

souljaboy88: Are you guys from Germany?Tom: Yes, of course. We are all from a little place called Magdeburg.
The-Forgotten.: Where You Been Friends Before You Formed The Band?Georg: Gustav and I met at music school and we became friends before we met Tom and Bill after one of their performances. That’s seven years ago and we all became really close friends.
lollipopthe: How did you guys get discovered?Bill: We really put all our time and energy in our music. We sent tapes to record labels and Mtv, we made our own CD and sold it, we played as often and as much as we could. And then, finally one night, a producer saw us performing in a club!
:Michael,: What inspired you to choose the name: "TokioHotel"?Tom: We used to have another band name. But after we met our producer and we started working in the studio we wanted another name – one that fit us better. We all like big cities, plus it really sounds cool. Also we were looking for a symbol that would represent our live as musicians – we pictured us staying most of the time in hotels, which became true. Here you go: Tokio Hotel.
.:Dragon16:.: How old are you?Bill: Tom and I will turn 19 in September, Gustav will turn 20 and Georg just turned 21 in March.
btm=12: Who is your idol?Tom: We never really had idols. We always wanted to do our own stuff, create our own style. Also we never could agree on ONE band or artist cause we have such a different taste in music.
Foxigirl: Do you have any pets?Gustav: We all have a dog and a cat.
:CutiePatutie:: Why is your new album called Scream?Bill: Well, it’s the title of our first German album. The English version is a mix of our favorite songs from the first and second album. Scream is def. one of them. And we love it’s message. The song is about standing up for yourself, speaking your mind and express yourself no matter what other people might say!
Elmo!,: I love the song Ready Set Go. But What Is It Really About?Bill: It’s about going for you dreams, leaving everything behind you to start something new. It’s about tearing down walls and not being caught in life and rules.
Sxiandbad!: Do you prefer singing and recording songs in English or German?Bill: By now the English songs feel like the German ones. But when it comes to writing I will always write in German and the songs will be then translated into English. German is my native language and it helps me express myself the best.
MattInc: What’s it like being on the road 24/7?Tom: We love if. Of course you don’t get to see your friends and family very often but you get to see so much. It’s über-exciting and what we always wanted.
!.NeWYorK122.!: Do you all get along or do you get in fights sometimes?Tom: We are friends but of course we do fight as well. Even me and Bill.
Georg (laughing): Yeah, and you don’t want to be involved...
